How to store bell peppers

Generally

Store bell peppers in the refrigerator. Avoid washing them until you're ready to use, as excess moisture can lead to mold or soft spots. Whole bell peppers can be placed loose in the crisper drawer or in a breathable produce bag to allow for airflow and prevent moisture buildup. If the bell pepper has been cut, store the pieces in an airtight container with a clean, dry towel at the bottom to absorb any excess moisture. This helps keep the peppers firm and extends their shelf life.
